Fourth Day of our Course:Footballers are still here!! No sleep again. Back to the Taj Mahal today to do some of that Complex Navigation that I don't understand. Matt draws us a map and then went "Blah blah blah, T, Blah blah blah, T. blah blah, T, Blah, 12 metres Helcolcine, 9 metres 90º turn, Blah Blah, jump from one line to another, so tie on to main line, find another line, big kidney shaped hole, find a line blah blah blah"!! Yep I am lost already. I swear I was so nervous I missed most of what he said. He also said Left and Right a lot, about which I always get confused, so Matt made me write "L" and "R" on my hands! So… Andy and I went over it again… and again. I have it now, I know where I am going. Do you believe me? I hope so, coz I believed me. We go in, past three T junctions, down to a Helocline. Once in a Helocline if you move around too much, the viz is gone. It's like being blind drunk, everything is so blurred you can't even see your computer. Andy flashes me with a torch "problem". He has an ear problem. I go back to him and by now we have really messed up the viz. He gets ok so we set off. II knew I needed to go up to 9 metres and find a 90º turn, but Andy thought he saw the kidney shaped hole. He tried to tell me but we are still in the Helocline, so I have no idea what he is saying. Matt thumbs the dive. In this kind of diving a thumbs up means the dive ends, we get out. Anyone can do this at anytime, no questions asked. So we turn. Dive two, and Andy is leading. T, T, T, Helocline (all goes well) up to 9m, 90º turn. Andy ties onto the line with his reel and off we go, past a big sign that says "Don't go past this". It also mentions that I might die if I do. Oh well, we are going past it anyway. I hear you saying "Are you mad??". Well, we are 4 day hardened cave divers now. Ha Ha Ha!! All went well on the way out so we ended our dive ALIVE today!
