Jilly does PADI!Day er Clare what day am I on???? Morning all! I have a half day today, can't wait to get to do my stuff in the classroom, then I'm going to do some sunbathing, see if I can burn my bum again, can't wait. And, I didn't wake up with a headache, or with puffy eyes. So you can relax, I havent done myself in yet!!! We are doing the PADI O2 instructor trainer course today, so does anybody out there need it or want it? Hopefully I will be your friendly neighbourhood Course Director who can help you!!! So, 8 oclock and we are in the classroom. I have to say I didnt really learn much more than I did when I did my DAN O2 instructor course. I suppose really, there's not much more to teach when you have done it before, but we had a laugh anyway. Sorry to Suzanne from Richard and myself. At the beginning of the course we were split into 3 groups. The first staff I had was Mike, and we were to pretend that we were CD and Instructor whereby we had to assemble the O2 kit. We did a lovely job guys in my group, I think we cracked that skill of putting a tank together!!! But we went abit far- we carried on and briefed what each mask does, and how each works. So, when we got to Suzanne's group she said we were now to do the skillls 2 and 3 from the course. These are to explain what each mask does and how you put it all together. 10 mins later Richard and I are still confused, Suzanne is looking at us as if to say "You guys are intelligent people, what is so hard about this?". Luckily Suzanne is a lovely lady and so patient. Well, she had to be really 'cos all we could say is "We've just done it, I dont understand what you want from me!!!!" After a futher 5 mins I think we have got it, Suzanne has now explained it to us for the 10th time. So I start the skill, but kind of lose it half way through 'cos we had decided to do it at full speed to catch up. I am giggling and we have lost what we are doing again. To her credit Suzanne never gave up on us poor souls!!!! Richard you are a bad influence!!! So, this afternoon we have a group meeting on the marketing plan that we have to do. I have my shorts on and my bikini underneath, at the ready. Then, a rain drop falls the size of a chicken (i was going to say egg but it needs more exaggeration than that these were BIG rain drops) Within seconds, it is raining like mad. Real straight down, bouncing rain with thunder and lightening to boot. How unfair is that? And to top it off, I am really looking forward to tomorrow, as we have the digital underwater instructor trainer course, with James Morgan and get to go out diving IN THE SEA!!!! but if this rain carries on, it might get cancelled. I hope not I want to see a fish in Malaysia that's not on a plate!!! Just one will do!! Fingers crossed for me. BACK TO THE BEGINNING: BACK TO DAY TEN: Email: |
